I’m Joseph Giancola, a Front-End Developer who is based in Adjala-Tosorontio, Ontario. Professionally connected with the web development industry and information technology for many years. Interested in the entire frontend spectrum and working on ambitious projects with positive people.

Years of experience in the following languages & cms systems: HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, jQuery, MySQL, and Wordpress. Well-organised person, problem solver, independent employee with high attention to detail this helps me get through projects really fast & effectively. I enjoy working independently and as well as a team, being able to mesh ideas around with different creatives really helps me get inspired and really gets my juices flowing.

I am a fan of Football, outdoor activities (such as ATVing, Dirt Biking, Snowmobiling, Fishing, and Camping), Music (I listen to all genres of music but my main is Country music), TV series & Movies, and I am passionate about retro video games. A family person, therefore remote employment is preferred.

I enjoy expanding my knowledge of development whether that means learning a new language or growing in a current language I already know. Collaborating with other developers & designers is my favorite way to learn showing each other work and getting their opinion on how they would have changed/improved on the final project is very helpful and inspiring.

    As a production associate at Honda Manufacturing your role is to use the provided equipment to ensure correct quality control of materials and end products produced by Honda.

  • 2021

    Hostpapa Front-End Developer: January - Febuary 2021
    Building and maintaining pages on there multiple websites built in both Silverstripe and Wordpress CMS systems. Building new page layouts based on design mockups provided to us using Bootstrap implemented into Silverstripe CMS. Connecting using Git to both Github & Bitbucket to create branches and make edits to there websites built in HTML & CSS.

    Building and maintaining client websites in wordpress and squarespace. Using CSS and JS to customize the look and feel for websites. Creating website using HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, C#, and ASP.Net and programming email signatures.

    Freelance Web Developer: 2017 - Present
    Creating custom themed websites in Wordpress CMS for multiple clients. Maintaining client sites keeping Wordpress and Plugins updated and secure as well as fixing visual errors and bugs. Adding custom API’s to give my clients customers a better experience when visiting their sites. These API’s include Google, Instagram, and Facebook. Also using custom HTML, CSS, and Javascript when needed to infuse features Wordpress just doesn’t have the capability to do.

    triOS Intern Web Developer: March - June 2017
    Created and modified website layouts, graphics, and icons in Photoshop and Illustrator. Recreated a classic asp program in asp.net. Compressed images to maximize loading time for websites on mobile.
